CABAL HENCHMEN
Jeff Acquistapace: Editor-in-Chief
Some people are born into wealth and power. Others have to work for it. And then there are a rare few who simply become paid political operatives and Cabal henchmen, a path Jeff Acquistapace chose willingly and has perfected over 30 years. His sinister career began in high school as a wide-eyed intern for Congressman Richard Pombo, where he learned the dark arts of constituent services before working his way up to the decidedly less glamorous but equally nefarious role of District Director. A brief stint as Deputy Chief of Staff for State Assemblyman Alan Nakanishi was merely a tune-up for his ultimate goal: to become a ruthless, for-hire political operative.
As a self-proclaimed and unapologetic laissez-faire capitalist pig, Jeff founded 3AM Communications, a political consulting firm specializing in running local campaigns and, more importantly, high-stakes political graphic design. In this arena, he's earned his reputation as a professional mail "hitman," crafting razor-sharp attack ads and passive-aggressive mailers for conservative consultants across California. He's proud to say his best work has resulted in a significant increase in local sales of tin foil hats and personal security cameras.
When he isn't plotting the downfall of local politicians, Jeff can be found unwinding with the works of John Carpenter and Michael Mann. If he wants a laugh, Jeff turns to the classics, Young Frankenstein, Dr. Strangelove, or The Big Lebowski. A devout fan of anything Monty Python, The Far Side, Sam Kinison, South Park, and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, Jeff credits the late, great Norm Macdonald and his legendary 1994-1997 run on Weekend Update as the primary inspiration for the particular brand of political humor you'll find on this page. It should be noted, however, that Jeff's #1 love is God and his family.
